This November, a remarkable intersection of events unfolds. As the nation nears the 75th anniversary of the desegregation of the Armed Forces, The Black Veterans Project celebrates its monumental 5th Anniversary.
More than a mark on a calendar, this celebration serves as a resonant reminder of the resilience, valor, and legacy of Black veterans who have significantly shaped the fabric of the nation's history.
Deon Bryan, the founder of Viteranz, expressed his sentiments by saying, "This celebration is an embodiment of a rich tapestry of service and sacrifice. It's not just about reaching milestones; it's about acknowledging, with profound respect and gratitude, the immeasurable contributions of Black veterans who've played a pivotal role in our nation's military journey. At Viteranz, we see ourselves as torchbearers, eager and honored to shine a light on this momentous occasion."
This year's celebration is even more special as The Black Veterans Project honors the Yale Law School, naming them its 2023 Equity & Justice Awardee. Moreover, the event also commemorates 45 remarkable years of unwavering service by Black Veterans for Social Justice, proudly recognized as the 2023 Community Impact Awardee.
Speaking on the recognition, Deon observed, "The dedication, the perseverance, and the untiring spirit of these awardees truly encapsulate commitment at its finest. Their tireless endeavors in championing the rights and well-being of Black veterans and their families resonate deeply with our mission at Viteranz."
Reiterating Viteranz's unwavering dedication to the cause, Deon announced a significant initiative, saying, "In alignment with our mission, this Veterans Day, we're redirecting 100% of our profits from our special sale to The Black Veterans Project. This gesture transcends monetary value; it's a tangible representation of our dedication to a cause that uplifts and celebrates our Black military heroes."
He urged, "This Veterans Day, I invite you to join the celebration at NIKE HQ NYC. Let us remember the legacies and ardently strive for a brighter, more just, and equitable future for all Black veterans."
